WJAZ Station Staff after 2012 Fund Rally.

The 2012 WJAZ fund drive is now over with all goals met after only three days.
The station raised all together $55,000 from on air pledges. The station will also be able to purchase a new emergency generator to replace the one that was damaged by severe weather.
Regular programming will begin immediately with no interruptions. The fund drive may be over but anyone wishing to contribute can still do the same by calling or visiting the stations website.
“We wouldn’t have been able to make this possible without the contribution of our fans and supporters,” said WJAZ director Jarvis Ewing.
WJAZ would like to thank everyone who contributed to the stations success.

2012 Fund Drive Underway!!

Starkville, MS
2012 Fund Rally at the Bulldog center in Starkville, MS.

The 2012 WJAZ fund rally presents an opportunity for supporters to contribute to the stations success.
This year’s goal of the drive is $50,000. The station also has a new company sponsorship program for $2,500 that allows companies to be announced as sponsors 12 times each day.
WJAZ airs a lot of local programming which focuses on news, culture and music. The funds raised go for programs such as All Things Considered, Morning Edition, and Click and Clack. These programs would have to be dropped if the $50,000 isn’t raised. The federal government only provides 20 percent towards the stations operation budget.
It’s easy to become a member and anyone can contribute to the stations progress. Patrons can pledge $25, $50, or $150. Patrons will also receive different levels of gifts for their contribution.
Regular Programming during the rally will be interrupted throughout the day to make appeals for money. Listeners are urged to either call the station at 662-325-1234 or visit the stations web site at www.mpb.org/starkville.
